Sustainable and resilient landscapes: agriculture for food security and peace
Through the “Sustainable and resilient landscapes for the food security of rural households in South Kivu” project, encouraging results continue to be recorded on the ground. This initiative demonstrates that a small gesture can contribute to lasting change in the lives of many vulnerable people through sustainable, resilient agriculture adapted to local realities.
During a recent field visit, our team noted a positive development in agricultural activities and congratulated the beneficiaries for their commitment, determination and ownership of the project. The efforts made by the communities demonstrate their desire to strengthen their autonomy and their capacity to face the challenges linked to food insecurity and climate change.
Beyond agricultural production, the initiative also contributes to strengthening social cohesion. Agricultural spaces become places of collaboration, dialogue and solidarity between farmers, demonstrating that agriculture can be a real tool for peace and community cohesion.
Together we can support these communities. A seed may seem small, but it can nourish a family, build resilience, and bring hope to an entire community.
